Do you work from home? Have you been struggling with keeping a consistent schedule and getting enough work done! We have several tips for you:

1. Wake up at the same time every day.

It’s helpful to keep a consistent schedule. To be your own boss, you have to expect yourself to be at work at the same time every day!

2. Have a routine when you wake up.

Maybe start your day with a cup of coffee, some meditation, and a quick walk around the block with your dog. Then, tell yourself that once the walk is done, the work needs to begin! This way you can still enjoy morning time at home, but have a cut-off time to end the relaxation and start the hard work.

3. Plan your workout time — stick to it.

Getting up and about will help your mind start moving too! Your physical health will be very important as you work from home – it can be tempting to sit around all day, but that will certainly make you less productive, and in a worse mood.

4. Call it a night.

Make a list of tasks you must complete by the end of the day. By the time this is complete, and your work day is “over” (hopefully 4 or 5 PM) – call it quits! Your work is done, and your house is once again a place of relaxation, not work.

Having these healthy boundaries between working time and rest time is important, to protect your home as a safe, restful place, but also to be able to switch gears into work mode.

Happy working!
